Event Details

The Asheville Downtown Association (ADA) will host its annual State of Downtown Luncheon Monday, February 27 from noon to 2pm in the U.S. Cellular Center's newly-renovated banquet room.

2012 ADA Board President Adrian Vassallo will discuss the association's program of work for the upcoming year as well as the membership's top priorities and challenges facing downtown merchants and residents.

“We have a unique opportunity this year to look at the accomplishments over the past 25 years and strategize on what the next 25 years will bring. There is no doubt that development, homelessness and safety will continue to be issues we confront in 2012,” Vassallo noted.

The luncheon will also feature progress reports on the Downtown Master Plan from ADA President Adrian Vassallo, Asheville Mayor Terry Bellamy and Buncombe County Commission Chairman David Gantt. A question and answer session will conclude the event.

Vassallo added, “The luncheon will present a forum where we can talk among all the stakeholders about these and discuss what new ideas we have to tackle them going forward.”

Tickets are $10 for members of the Asheville Downtown Association and $12 for potential members and include lunch. Tickets and information are available online at ashevilledowntown.org or 828- 251-9973.
